German software developer TeamViewer says to quit Russia, Belarus

MOSCOW, May 6 (PRIME) -- German developer of remote access software TeamViewer will retreat from the markets of Russia and Belarus, the company said late on Thursday in a statement.

“We have decided to terminate any remaining commercial activity entirely in Russia and Belarus,” TeamViewer said.

The company added that in additional to compliance with all the international sanctions and immediate cessation of any new business, it will not extend contracts with the clients from Russia and Belarus.

The valid subscriptions that are not subject to the sanctions and are not related to the illegal use of TeamViewer products will be fulfilled till the end of the contract, but they will not be prolonged.
